Vol. 3,#2 - CREATING A MODERN DAY KNIGHTHOOD
Crow...are you "cawing" so I may know the secrets of balance within my soul! Or are you sending your "caw" just to remind me of universal laws? (1)
As winter settles upon us, enveloping the northern part of our world with an icy grip, we are presented with the natural moment for reflection. We are also presented with the stark reality of our need for warmth. We cloak ourselves and remain inside. But this need is a common one. Just as some have no heat for their body, some lack an inner warmth. Fortunately, there is an efficient solution available to each of us. The remedy for the gelid soul coincides with the remedy for the outer cold. Each is covered with service in the traditional sense, so that the natural, inner warmth is not lost.
To this end, we present several articles. Leading the pack is CHIVALRY: GIVING THE BEST OF OURSELVES IN THE THIRD MILLENNIUM, which offers up insights into the problems besetting us, a proposed solution, and a call to action.
We delve into the inter-relatedness of man and society with the articles entitled SERVICE, and, THE RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF MAN. We then reflect inward, with HOW TO BREAK DOWN OUR INNER WALLS, and, THE CONSTITUTION OF MAN.
Esoteric Streams presents us with the history of templarism, from its early beginnings to the present day, in CREATING A MODERN-DAY KNIGHTHOOD. Closely following its skein is CHIVALRY FOR TODAY, a personal study in the application of the moral code of chivalry.
In reflecting inward again, we finally arrive at the culminating, third part of the Spirit series, entitled PRECIPITATIONS. The Medieval Primer continues its exploration of how to use old tools in new ways with ON THE EDGE. For its part, our METAPHYSIOLOGY® Feature entitled DISEASE AS MESSENGER shows how physical illneness can cause one to become introspective and get in touch with important but heretofore unexpressed elements of one’s basic nature.
